Employee Innovation
Do your team struggle to share ideas?
Or the opposite – they have too many ideas – but these lack focus, clarity and a clear business case?
As a result, making it hard for you to make informed decisions about which or how to take forward, amidst the high uncertainty, risk and cost of innovation?
What if you could overcome your teams ‘vulnerability of innovation’; empowering a more diverse range of voices to speak up?
And what if these ideas could be more clearly though through and communicated – allowing more efficient and empowered decision making?
And imagine if unlocking these internal innovations had the potential to transform your business?
LVB Creative’s Employee Innovation programmes enable early-stage idea exploration, development and presentation.
Programmes include employee engagement and training, idea development and assessment, incubation, testing, coaching, and pitch presentation; providing an efficient and affordable way to test business cases and stakeholder engagement before making any costly commitment or investment.
Participants also develop communication confidence and leadership skills to be able to deliver their ideas, as well as greater resilience to feedback – if their ideas are not progressed.
CASE STUDY
Folkestone & Hythe District Council: Empowering Community Innovation
Folkestone & Hythe District Council wanted to find, support and showcase grassroots environmental projects and ideas from local community leaders – as part of their Carbon Innovation Lab initiative and carbon reduction strategy.
The commissioned programme began with educational and promotional content to encourage the submission of project ideas from the community. Outreach activities and workshops were hosted to support and encourage applicants to clarify their ideas, and to gain the confidence to submit an application.
Selected projects were then invited to join a 8 session incubation programme – during which they developed the core value behind their ideas and projects, as well as training to develop these into effective presentations.
These presentation were delivered (and documented on film) at a public event, which included audience Q+As and engagement discussions. After the event, a selected committee then reviewed the projects, taking into consideration audience impact, before selecting those which would receive funding and support to further their ideas.
As a result of the programme, many of the participants formed partnerships and collaborations to support and further their work. Many also gained contacts from the event which enabled project progression. Many commented that gaining the clarity of their idea and developing communication skills helped them with both other funding opportunities, and with promotional activities. Folkestone and Hythe District Council gained strong case studies and ongoing partnerships with projects, which showcased their commitment and delivery of their carbon reduction strategy.
