Lee was dreading being on camera. But since he couldn’t show his patent-pending product, sharing his founder story was the only option. In chatting through his goals, we realised it wasn’t the camera that bothered him—it was sounding too ‘salesy’. So, we shifted the tone to focus on educating instead, which felt far more natural to him.  Rather than overthinking a perfect script, we went for a casual walk and filmed our conversation. That helped me draw out the right questions—and his best answers—naturally, in one flowing take. We repeated this at the filming location, using the same relaxed, ‘walk and talk’ approach.  The result? A strong promo video, extra social clips with deeper insights, and a message Lee felt proud to share—and could actually bear to watch!

Despite being an outgoing person, underneath Leigh-Anne felt nervous about being on  camera – even admitting she almost cancelled the night before filming!  She is really passionate about her job, and so had put lots of pressure on herself to ‘be perfect’ – and so fell into the trap of feeling she had to ‘perform’.  So we started by discussing how/why she felt nervous, which allowed me to help her realign what she said and how she delivered it to be more natural and authentic – without loosing her passion and energy.  We kept the style very conversational – with me featuring on camera with her to ask her the questions.  We filmed as one continuous flowing take, with Leigh-Anne using visual cue around the room to help her remember her message, while still being natural; tools and an approach she says she’ll use for rest of her life.  She loved the finished video – which became a valuable, reusable asset to showcase the values of their business
